Privacy Policy

Last updated: February 19, 2026

Basic Policy

Copy Freedom respects your privacy. We do not collect any personal data. All data stays on your device.

Data Stored Locally

The following data is stored locally on your device using Chrome's extension storage:

This data never leaves your browser.

Data We Do NOT Collect

External Services

Copy Freedom uses ExtensionPay for Pro license purchase management only. Payment is processed by Stripe. Copy Freedom only checks your license status (active or inactive) and does not access or store any payment details.

Website Access

Copy Freedom runs automatically on all websites to remove copy restrictions. A built-in whitelist protects web applications (Google Docs, YouTube, Notion, Figma, etc.) from interference. You can disable the extension on any site via the popup toggle. Despite having broad host access, the extension does not read, collect, or transmit any page content or browsing data. It only injects scripts that remove copy-protection mechanisms.

Data Deletion

To delete all data stored by Copy Freedom, you can either uninstall the extension or clear extension data via Chrome settings (Settings → Extensions → Copy Freedom → Details → Clear data).

Third Parties

We do not sell, share, or provide user data to third parties.

Changes to This Policy

This privacy policy may be updated from time to time. Users will be notified of significant changes via extension updates.
